Minatchy D Brian

judgement

In the Darkest confines of Shichimenjo,
Bound by shackles of cold, unyielding iron,
Tenshi lay ensnared.
Sentenced by a treachery woven from deceit,
6 full moons he endured,
With each crescent bearing another torment.
His scarred skin from his captor’s watchful “care”,
A testament of his ordeal.
Yet his resolve, while challenged,
Stood firm, tempered like steel.
As the seventh moon cast its silvery haze,
Emperor Orochi, wearied by the young samurai’s unwavering stance,
Sought a final reckoning to seal his fate.
“Uwabami-no-Hotei”, the court of the formidable serpent.
Thousands of snakes set in a giant wooden cistern,
the most dreaded punishment men would face in the Empire.
Like wildfire, word spread.
From the humblest household to the mightiest hall,
All gathered to witness the divine sentence.
A most fitting judgment,
For the one who dared sully Lady Tamano’s honor.
Into the abyss he was cast,
Bounded not just by metal, but by heaven’s sacred decree.
Yet, as the young samurai fell,
no pleas were heard, no screams were let loose,
In face of his grievous chastisement,
Tenshi remained silent.
With the coming dawn,
Heaven had cast its judgment.
And as Orochi’s men opened the seal.
Behold! The young samurai was untouched,
The serpents had turned white and spared him venom’s embrace.
Amid the growing chatter of Shichimenjo,
Emperor Orochi stood tall.
His face twisted between disbelief and rage.
His hand on the hilt of his sword,
Ready to spill the blood of this filthy unruly dog.
However, heaven’s will was firm, and by his own decree he was bound,
With great reluctance, he had to let his former servant walk free.
